Turn around tough times and breathe new life into your salons
There really is no better time than the New Year to start new projects, introduce new services and turn ideas into reality; but with the banks not lending like they used to, bullet-proof planning is essential!
Be prepared to have documents containing full cash flow predictions, detailed marketing plans and more. Leave no stone unturned and justify the points your make (e.g. how are you going to sell 10 treatments per day?)
If your dream is to start your own salon, make sure you look at the support and grants available in your area. Whilst business link is no more, there are still ways to get help. By enrolling on a part-time business course at your nearest university, you will often gain access to a wide range of help from entrepreneur mentors to start-up grants.
Expansion of your business may be exciting but be sure not to neglect your existing salons and clients, a fresh coat of paint, new front desk, shop signage, or simply a thorough (and I mean through) clean can go a long way to keeping clients coming back for more.
Time for a change …
